Counselling or therapy is a confidential service whereby you talk to a trained and qualified counsellor about any difficulties you are facing or have experienced in the past.
In this therapeutic relationship you can gain further insight and understanding into any issues you are experiencing and find ways of managing and coping.
You may know why you're reaching out support, for example, for anxiety or if you are having relationship issues. Other times, you may not have a specific reason and that's okay too.
Counselling can help to make sense of things no matter how big or small, it can give you a different perspective and bring some awareness in order for you to be able to gain some control in your life.
Build better relationships with yourself & others
The relationship you have with your counsellor is the first step in healing and enabling change in your life.
Counselling is different from talking to friends and family as the counsellor is impartial, trained to be able to listen to you in a non-judgemental way and see things from your point of view.
This means you don't have to worry about what you say and you can get things off your chest in a safe and supported environment.
