Hello, I’m Digna from Lotus Blossom Counselling, an online therapy service based in Hertfordshire (find out more about me here). People reach out to me when they are tired of not feeling good enough. They’ve had enough with the non-stop self-doubt, indecision and the intense emotions that come with it. You might be tired of saying “yes” when what you really want to say is “no”. Comparing yourself to others whilst scrolling through social media or people you know leaves you feeling unhappy and less than.
Life is getting out of control
You might avoid people and miss out on opportunities because you are afraid of what could go wrong and that you’ll be embarrassed. The voice inside keeps telling you “You can’t do anything right, people will see what a failure you are”.
Perhaps these difficulties affect your relationships. You find yourself trapped in suffocating relationships where you feel controlled. You’re scared and worried about what might happen if you tell others about how you’re feeling. You know something is not right but you don’t know how to change things. You've just learned to survive. “It’s not always that bad”, you tell yourself at times. But deep down you know things can’t go on like this forever.
